RED-FEC is proposed from a paper "A RED-FEC Mechanism for Video Transmission Over WLANs". The mechanism is like: AP station detect the length of queue in the data buffer, Then calculate the best FEC redundant packet numbers, in order that it would make sure the best trasmist quality of the video. (Detail in the paper, you could search the paper in IEEExplore) Wish this would help you.

An error-detection code by itself does not control errors, but it can be used to request repeated transmission of errored code words until they are received error-free. This technique is called ARQ. In terms of error performance, ARQ outperforms forward error correction (FEC) because code words always are delivered error-free (provided the error-detection code doesn't fail). However, this performance does not come free of charge - we pay for it with decreased throughput.

The chief advantage of ARQ is that error detection requires simpler decoding than error correction. ARQ also is adaptive because it only re-transmits information when errors occur. On the other hand, ARQ schemes require a feedback path that may not be available.

In coding theory, a linear code is an error-correcting code for which any linearcombination of codewords is also a codeword.

The block code and its parameters. Error-correcting codes are used to reliably transmit digital data over unreliable communication channels subject to channel noise.

It is possible that the error was not corrected due to oversight, lack of awareness of the mistake, or not enough emphasis placed on the importance of correcting it. It's important to communicate clearly and directly about the error to ensure it is addressed promptly.

Accountants make correcting entries when they find errors. There are two ways to make correcting entries: reverse the incorrect entry and then use a second journal entry to record the transaction correctly, or make a single journal entry that, when combined with the original but incorrect entry, fixes the error.

Adjusting entries should not be confused with correcting entries, which are used to correct an error. That should be done separately from adjusting entries, so there is no confusion between the two, and a clear audit trail will be left behind in the books and records documenting the corrections.
